1) Airport
★ Shanghai Pudong International Airport(PVG) is the primary international airport serving Shanghai, and a major aviation hub for Asia. Located about 30 kilometres east of the city centre, Pudong Airport occupies a 10,000-acre site adjacent to the coastline in eastern Pudong. The airport is operated by Shanghai Airport Authority. ★ Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport(SHA) is the first civilian airport in Shanghai, Hongqiao International Airport is more than eighty years old. After a series of renovations it has become one of the three international air transit centers in China. 2) Taxi
Shanghai has approximately 45,000 taxis, operated by over 150 taxi companies. Several companies have taxis in their own colors. There are seven more popular companies - Dazhong Taxi Company with their cars in sky blue; Qiangsheng with their cars in orange; Jinjiang white; Bashi green; Haibo sapphire blue; Fanlanhong red; and Lanse Lianmeng in navy blue. 3) Metro
The Shanghai Metro is the rapid transit system serving the city of Shanghai. The system incorporates both subway and light metro lines. Overall, there are 12 metro and 288 stations, with an operating route length of 439 kilometers, making the system the third longest in the world. The Shanghai Metro delivered 2.276 billion rides in 2012, making it the fifth busiest metro system in the world. It set a daily ridership record of 8.486 million on March 9, 2013.
